Περιγραφή
Aesop is the most famous of ancient storytellers and is considered a leader of the so-called ‘didactic mythology’.
In his fables, which were told orally and were taken from everyday life and nature, he condemns evil in its most representative forms: violence, fraud, betrayal, falsehood, greed, cunning and always with some moral lesson at the end.
He was of humble origins and although he lived all his life as a slave the Athenians erected a statue of him after his death to show that every man of worth, regardless of his origins, should be honoured. The book AESOP’S-30 FABLES includes several of his well-known fables, carefully edited and colourfully illustrated.
Aesop’s fables give the reader the chance to be taught about the basic values of life in a simple way and with an unrivalled educational value.
